Various texture uses of motorcycle tyre

- 2021-06-17-

Every type of tire is not a panacea. Motorcycle tyres with different tread patterns have their main uses and advantages and disadvantages. Motorcycle tyres touch various road surfaces every day, and their patterns directly affect the driver's control and comfort of the vehicle! The choice of motorcycle tires is also related to the driving quality and the driving experience of different types of motorcycles. For example, sliding tires cannot go below the ground; and off-road tires dare not go on the road! Only by making good use of the advantages of each tire can we show our familiarity and love for motorcycles!
(1) Turtle tires (Turtle tires are also called all-terrain tires)

"Turtle tires" are widely used in non-professional rally cars! Also favored by many friends who like motorcycle travel! Compared with slippery tires, turtle-back tires have better grip on muddy or sandy roads; compared with off-road tires, they can also be safely driven on paved roads and can run on forest roads. It is a more balanced Tire it!
(2) Hot melt tires (hot melt tires are divided into full hot melt and semi hot melt)

Fully hot-melt tires are generally used in fierce motorcycle racing tracks. Because the melting temperature of hot-melt tires is low, after the fierce track qualifying, the tires are heated and melted due to the friction on the ground, which makes the tire grip Get stronger and get out of corners faster. However, after the hot-melt tire is softened, debris such as gravel on the road is easily embedded on the tire, which reduces the tire's grip and even side slips! This is why the motorcycles on the track have to change their tires halfway through!

But it is not a tire that works well on the track, and it works equally well on urban roads and mountain roads. Fully hot-melt tires will be very sticky after melting, and the sand and debris on the road will stick to the tires, which will reduce the tire's gripping ability and prone to skidding or puncture! Our commonly used Motorcycle tyres can be classified as semi-hot-melt tires. Although their performance is not as outstanding as full-hot-melt tires, semi-hot-melt tires integrate the characteristics of various streets, and the degree of wear is also controlled within an acceptable range. It has become the representative of cost performance in the market, and it is also the standard configuration of various manufacturers.
(3) Slip tires (Slip tires are also called: road tires)

The tires are slid when they leave the factory. After the running-in period, the front and rear tyres are all replaced. The reason is that the "too slippery" bikers go out on weekends and encounter a lot of dirt roads or grass. This kind of tyre running is simply a torment! Most models on the market are shipped with this tire. This tire can run on urban paved roads! Due to the shallow tread pattern of road tires, when encountering grass and mud, it will be as slippery as it is! For those who like motorcycle trips, most people use sliding tires to go to motorcycle trips. When encountering muddy roads, slipping tires will make you crash!
(4) Off-road tires (cross-country tires are also called: pineapple tires)

The characteristic of off-road tires is that the pattern grooves are wide and deep, and the pattern block grounding area is small! It is widely used in professional rally cars and off-road vehicles for competitive purposes. When many off-road motorcycle players encounter soft roads or sand when driving on a field or forest road, the performance of this tire will be fully revealed, and some of the patterns will appear. The block is embedded in the sand, which makes the grip of the tire stronger, and it is not suitable for slipping.
Off-road tires are more suitable for driving on rugged roads and soft soil roads. Because of the strong pattern gripping ability, they are more suitable for running on these roads! However, off-road tires are not suitable for paved roads, with poor braking; poor cornering; large vibrations; long-term driving on paved roads will increase fuel consumption and accelerate tire wear.
